Meet AASC’s Academic Coaches
The Advising and Academic Support Center employs several academic coaches to serve Boise State students for free. Read brief introductions from our coaches below.
My name is Kelsey. I am one of the Academic Coaches in the Advising and Academic Support Center. I finished up my bachelor’s degree in psychology in the spring of 2016. I am now a graduate student in the Boise State school counseling program and I love it! I love to help people and to encourage them to do their best. A few fun things about me are that I love camping and anything outdoors (as long as it’s nice out!) and my favorite animal is a dog. I look forward to meeting with you for our coaching appointment!
Hi, I’m Pamela! I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Administration at Boise State. I also received a Bachelor of Arts from Boise State in 2014 and majored in English Literature, Writing, and History. I’ve worked in the Advising and Academic Support Center for over four years and developed a deep love for helping students achieve their academic goals. When I’m not working or studying, you’ll likely find me buried in a good book or wandering around the Snake River Plain.
My name is Carissa Wilcox and I am excited to be offering academic coaching as part of my position at the AASC. I have an undergraduate degree in Communication with an emphasis in Organizational and Relational Communication and a Masters in Communication along with a graduate certificate in college teaching. My passion is student support and I love helping students find their groove with college. My philosophy when it comes to student success is to study smarter not harder! On a personal note, I’m married with two children who are competitive Irish Dancers. We travel all over the west so they can compete. My husband and I have a small beekeeping business that we run as a family.
